CELEBRATING ST. PATRICK'S DAY.....Part Iii

It's Tuesday and St. Patrick's Day is on Saturday.  Hubby and I did not surprise one another today with little surprises. Instead we will be passing out St. Patty's Day button/pins to those we see later today. We have a meeting tonight and of course one of the members of the organization is as Irish as Paddy's Pig (same as hubby and myself).  I am sure she will appreciate one of the buttons.  No doubt the others who get one will also enjoy.  Also we are picking up a container of shamrock cut out cookies to share with our fellow veterans at tonight's meeting.
The meeting will actually have to celebrations tonight. First we will celebrate the birthdate of the organization which falls during this month; secondly we will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a few cookies and beverage.
As for the passing out of the pins I am sure everyone will enjoy be the recipient of one.
It seems most everyone likes something given to them for no apparent reason.  My husband has a saying, which I am certain many others use.  It goes like this "If it's free, it's for me."  I totally agree. Of course some get skeptical about getting something for free.  They always think there is a catch. Well yes sometimes there is but not all the time.  When I hand someone a give-away for a specific holiday it's not that I want something in return; it is because I want to celebrate with everyone.
So as you get yourself a button/pin for St. Patrick's Day, pick up a few more to give away to family, friends, acquaintances and even a co-worker. You never know it just may make their day.

Following is a verse I composed for a St. Patrick's card I am giving to a few.
Oh if you wonder who Fannon Muldoon is well it's the name of a road in an area in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.  My husband and I thought it such an interesting name I used it in my card verse.

Until tomorrow enjoy the day.

Everywhere you look today a
     shamrock can be seen
It is March the seventeenth, the
       day we wear our green

"Top of the morning" is the
      greeting of the day
"Erin go Bragh" we will hear some
        people say

We'll do an Irish step dance
     to the fiddlers happy tune
Sing a few songs of the day
     with our friend Fannon
            Muldoon

Sláinte we will loudly shout as we
hold high our pints of beer
Celebrating from morn till night
     as we do every year

Everywhere you go today a
      shamrock will be seen
It is March the seventeenth and
       the wearing of the green

     Happy St. Patrick's Day
