FOURTEEN DAYS of VALENTINES....It Begins

February begins tomorrow with fanfare....well for me at least.  So many holidays this month.  First and foremost it’s NY BIRTHDAY MONTH. What that means to me is that I’m the queen this month. Of course I have few Facebook pals and relations also born in February and we all are queens and kings this month. YES I have a tiara to prove it too. 
February is month we celebrate Ground Hog Day.  Will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow?  All await in anticipation for this event. 
The 53rd Super Bowl will be played.  Which team will be champs?  Will the Patriots again win or will it be the Rams as champs? 
President’s Day will be celebrated with a Federal Holiday; and February 14th is Valentine’s Day.  
 For those who have someone with to share Valentine's Day, I will be blogging about the holiday.  Even if there is no one special in your life, perhaps you can make things a bit brighter for a friend or acquaintance by showing them someone is thinking about them.  Use this as a random act of kindness for Valentine’s Day.  You never know; you may bring a smile to someone who feels down and blue. 
For some reason it seems florists charge outrageous prices for roses and other flowers a few days prior to the holiday.   Restaurants offer deals for the day but for many places you need to go or make a reservation for dinner.   

 The last few years my husband did something different. Since it went over well he plans to repeat again this year.  
Instead of one big Valentine’s gift on February 24th, he gave me little vmcyre items from the first of February up to the fourteenth. It was well received and very thoughtful. I actually enjoyed it more than just celebrating on the14th. I had something to look forward to each morning. 
He saw the list I made for gift ideas for this year and what to give each day; not saying he’ll stick to the list as he may change the gifts around to a different day or decide on another item for that day. 
All in all I’m looking forward to this as I never know what I’ll find waiting for me each morning. On some days I will surprise him with with a gift; I know he’ll enjoy this as well. 
  We may use these fourteen days of Valentine’s Day as an act of caring and kindness by give out something to others on a few of the days.  Like other holidays, someone may be alone and just this thought or act may lift their spirits. 

You can find little whimsical items from mugs, glasses, scarves and stuff animals at a dollar type store.  You need not go overboard with the idea of a little gift a day; think out of the box. Each day I plan to post a Valentine's idea to my blog as well as on my Facebook page. 

Also I’ll be posting as I did last year a poem or quote from a poem found in the book. “LOVE....ALWAYS and FOREVER”.  Also I’ll post the next day’s gift idea the day prior.
