CELEBRATING VALENTINE'S DAY.....Day Ten

Only few days remaining in the Fourteen Days of Valentine's.
I have enjoyed telling you briefly about items I received; those I gave my hubby and items we gave to friends and acquaintances.  It has been an experience doing this little challenge to celebrate fourteen days. Although it's only little things we have been giving to one another or others; I feel it has been an act of caring and love that comes from the heart. Some days the gifts are not given till late in the day; some found in the morning; the wonder of who will be giver or receiver for the day exciting. I like to put things out there sometimes the night before for hubby to find.  He will just hand me whatever the gift idea is when he feels the time is right. As I said it's been a fun experience and one I'd repeat again.

Yesterday not only did I receive a bag of large conversational hearts, I received two small boxes.  I decided to share the boxes with another person.

As with the candy corn, I counted out only six hearts (from the bag as they were a bit larger than the boxed ones).  I thought about Valentine's Days past; those celebrated and those that just passed as another day.  I read the little message on each piece of candy before I put it in my mouth.

What is cute about the boxes of hearts, they can be given as a Valentine instead of a card.  You can also give a box with one of those children's type cards you find. Takes you back to days of old when things weren't so complicated.

         DAY ELEVEN GIFT
Day Eleven.....Give a bag of Hershey's Kisses.

I always enjoyed a little Hershey's kiss.  There are many different varieties these days one can purchase.  Personally I still enjoy the traditional.  I remember one Valentine's Day my first husband gave me one of those large size Hershey kiss.  I think it had to be more than a half-pound of chocolate (at least eight ounces).  No way could I even think about trying to eat it.  What I did was cut it into bite size pieces and share with others.  I felt there was something amiss when I ate the piece of the large candy kiss.  What I realized I actually enjoy unwrapping the little bite size to consume.
You can this gift in a few ways.  Put the bag into a gift bag; put some into a heart shaped candy dish or even a mug.

Until tomorrow I hope you have a wonderful romantic day, outing or even dinner.

The SWEET PEA....the shyness of
  the first kiss shared
Strength of character in commitments....the GLADIOLUS
Faithfulness always to that special person....the VIOLENT
HYACINTHS scenting the air....
   sincerity of words spoken
GARDENIA....the joy found when
    two hearts become one
Adoration that sparkles from the
   eyes....the SUNFLOWER
Loving thoughts of reminiscing of
  moments shared....the PANSY
Contentment of sharing a life
   together....the ASTOR
GERANIUM....the comforting
   thoughts another cares for you
Encouragement given to one
   another....
     the BLACK-EYE-SUSAN
The CROCUS....providing

Forgiveness for doing a wrong....
  the WHITE TULIIP
Caring for another through
   sickness and health....the TULIP

While the YELLOW shows two
  hearts that are hopelessly in
    love
Add a few Roses of red, yellow,
    white and pink
   Carnations, Daisies, Daffodils
An Orchid and some Baby's
    Breath for good measure

Combine the flowers together....
 They make a wonderful bouquet

But one flower stands out from all
  the others
The ORCHID.....
As it is the loveliest of all
For it is in the ORCHID that the
  delicate beauty of love
        flourishes
