Women’s History Month as well as March ends today. Every day this month I posted a different picture of women doing different jobs. There were a few of women in the military and woman doing jobs that at one time were only done by men; plumber, pilot, ship captain, truck driver, lineman and electrician. I also celebrated woman who at the moment are out there doing essential jobs during this pandemic. Those jobs included clerks/cashiers, nurses, farmers and chefs. It’s not just a man’s world these days but a women’s as well. Many can do the same job as a man. As March comes to an end we look forward to April and what the next month will bring. We wonder if things will get back to normal? Will social distancing now be a part of our life? Will we become more home oriented and not social butterflies? No one can predict the outcome; only time will tell. Perhaps this is a wake up call for us to get back to a simpler time when we spent more time at home with our families. With the ‘stay-at-home’ order I could not celebrate Women’s History Month as in prior years. Knowing what priorities are most important during this time of uncertainty I understand. We all need to keep in mind what is utmost important at this time and abide by it.
Until next time....remember to stay safe and stay home to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
