I am doing this quickly today. I’m preparing to get ready to leave for a weekend veterans obligation.
Okay so he did not give me live spiders but plastic spider rings. I’ll probably use them as decoration on a item I’m making. Actually I’m putting together mini bags of candy next week. Putting few mini bars in each then a Halloween sticker and going to tape the spider ring on the bag. I’ll probably give away these during the next week. Adults enjoy a little something nice every now and then. (I plan to wear one or two of the rings on Halloween.)
Making up little treat bags is fun. The little sandwich/snack bags can hold at least three mini size candy bars. I also have pumpkin shaped sugar cookies. The sandwich size bags hold two. Those are for the ones who rather not have chocolate. Who says Halloween is just for the young? If it was just for the young why do they make and sell adult size costumes?
As you may prepare for the trick-or-treaters who’ll come a-calling why not think of alternative treats. As I wrote about few days ago I had given packets of cookies and/or snacks bags of chips, cheese curls, corn chips and pretzels. Think about perhaps small bottles of water or juice box. These are just a suggestion of course. My husband I use to give soda to our visitors.
Whatever you decide to give candy, beverage, snack or something else is up to you. For me the best part of the Halloweeners is seeing what they will be wearing and of course the “thank you” after they get their treat.
Until tomorrow....a caramel apple is calling my name.
