HOLIDAYS to CELEBRATE
I consider myself a lover of holidays. It does not matter what holiday it is, I enjoy the thought of celebrating. Of course my favorites are Halloween, Christmas and St. Patrick's Day; I also enjoy as a veteran celebrating Veteran's Day.
When I think about it, there must be one holiday a month for me to make cheer; sometimes two in a month.
I have sort of came up with days that I consider a holiday but perhaps I should call them days for celebration. These days include Super Bowl Sunday; Army-Navy Football Game Day; and my Birthday.
I enjoy telling others "MERRY CHRISTMAS"; "HAPPY HALLOWEEN"; "HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY"; etc....
This month I've have so far celebrated Veteran's Day and the Marine Corps birthday. I still have Thanksgiving and the beginning of Advent.
If you search the web you’ll find links to sites that list a holiday for every day. I am glad to see some of the wacky/weird/odd holidays listed. It’s great to have a reason now and then to celebrate especially if you’re feeling a bit down. I am thankful to find some reason on those days to cheer and bring joy perhaps to another.
Yes I am thankful to find some reason to celebrate when I’m feeling blue.
Until tomorrow....I am off to cheer up a Facebook friend by sending a holiday greeting; today’s odd holiday is Pickle🍆 Day. Enjoy.
