RAIN to NOURISH the EARTH
We complain when it's a rainy day. Many times we feel the rain disrupts our plans. We stay indoors and feel as if the world is against us. As children we use to say the rhyme:
'Rain, rain go away
Come again another day
Little (insert a name) wants
to play
Rain, rain go away'
Back then we never realized how important the rain is. Rain is needed to nourish the earth; refill water supplies. Rain is needed for crops to grow; water for us all to drink; keeps our grass green.
Too much rain, yes, can be a hazard when flooding happens. Too little rain causes droughts; loss of much needed crops.
Living in Florida, during certain times of year, we get afternoon storms. They may not last but few hours but we sometimes complain about them; we just don't appreciate the importance of rain at times.
As I read the news and listen to the news about areas of drought in , I am thankful for the precipitation that falls from the sky to give much needed nourishment to a thirsty earth.
Without rain our crops would not grow and supply a harvest to the farmer. All l can say is I am thankful for rain, even if it may come when I want to have a beach day.
Until tomorrow....remember rain is important so don’t get in a tizzy about it; be thankful it’s helping the earth.
