  Day 10.....Let someone go ahead of you in line at the store

       FOR YOU

Day 10.....Buy yourself a holiday bouquet of flowers to decorate your home. 

Everyone is in a rush during this time of year. Long lines at the check out counters can become frustrating. Like most, I wonder why don't there be more cashiers opened to help.  As you stand and wait, perhaps you can let someone go ahead of you; especially if they have less items than you. It may seem like asking a lot but it could be the only nice gesture they get during the season. Who knows perhaps an act of kindness from someone awaits you.  After all it has been said 'what goes around, comes around'.  

A bouquet of flowers can brighten the day; cheer you up and make a nice addition to the house. During this time of year I have seen flowers mixed with evergreen boughs.  They look amazing. If a bouquet is not to your liking pick another item such as a Christmas cactus.  

On day nine I took some can goods and other non-perishable items to a collection area.  I do hope my contribution will help make someone's holiday better.

I do know that it's important to donate after the holidays as shelves at the food banks/food pantries will be bare. 

In the afternoon I got out my large coffee cup and made some hot chocolate with a shot of Irish Cream, mini-marshmallows, whip cream and mini-candy cane. In fact I had two while I watched Army and Navy play out their game on the snowy field in Philly. What a great football game. It went down to the wire as they say, but Army won by one point.

Enjoy the day and hope that after you jet someone ahead of you in the line it comes back to you evidently.
