DAY 26...'SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER'

Day 26....'SPREADING HOLIDAY CHEER'

I hope everyone enjoyed my twenty-five days of spreading cheer.  I sure enjoyed doing the acts of kindness each day.

Yesterday, since we are alone in Florida with our family living up North, we celebrated a Christmas dinner at the local Amvets veteran's club where we are members.  It was wonderful to spend time with others who are alone for the holiday.  Of course we did have food at home for a meal, but it just felt right to be with a large group of others who at times are like family during the holidays. There was enough food and as always many desserts.
One tradition my husband and I have is to always have a box of some chocolates at home. We now take the chocolates to where we will be for Christmas.  Christmas without a box of chocolates is just not the same to me. At least I know they will be welcomed by someone.

Even though the twenty-five days of spreading cheer has concluded, perhaps every now and then you can do an act of kindness or cheer.  Holidays are not the only time we should think of others.  There maybe someone you know who could benefit from your actions during the year.

I will be blogging still, perhaps not daily, but keep watching for something new from me. It could be an installment story, new poem or words of wisdom.

So have until next time....thank you for reading 'Ramblings'.
