Day 13....Keep a few candy canes for yourself and enjoy being a kid again by having one.
When I was growing up, candy canes were only one flavor, peppermint; and only two colors, red and white. In past years it seems candy canes have taken on different flavors and a variety of colors. Many candy companies have come up with different flavors. Many have been based on other candy on the market. I am not going to name these other flavors as I don't want to advertise in case I miss a one if these companies or candy types.
There are even pickle flavor candy canes that are being sold.
Due to the different flavors it would be fun to give out candy canes to those you see today. Pick up some traditional and a few flavored. Giving them out is fun; receiving makes one feel like a kid again.
Personally I enjoy a candy cane as my daily treat during the holiday season. I have been enjoying different flavors, but have not experienced the pickle flavor as of yet.
Since you have a supply of candy canes, keep a few for yourself to enjoy. Experiment and try a different flavor.
Yesterday I shared a funny holiday story from Christmas past with a few people. It had them chuckling and smiling. I think it may have conjured up memories in the minds of those who heard the story.
I found an adorable snowman angel decoration that I purchased. Actually it did not come from the store but there it sat on a 'white elephant' table st a veteran's club. The monies from the items sold go to a cancer research fund. I found bit resist it as well as the snowman/snowflake coffee mug and the Santa hat decoration. The Santa hat item has been placed hanging outside on my mail box. I felt good after making the purchases as I knew the money would be going to a good cause.
