Day Two....Countdown to New Years



Three days till the end of 2017; four days till 2018 begins. 

Yesterday I asked you to think about those resolutions you made on January first.  
Today start thinking about what you want to accomplish in 2018.  

One thing I like to do is making lists of my goals. 

You should make a list for yourself. Write down what you wanted to accomplish for 2017 then write down your resolutions for 2018.  Perhaps your 2017 resolutions were all not accomplished.  If you really wanted to do them, and did not, why not make them your goals for 2018.  If you did keep all those resolutions then just write down your 2018 ones.  Put the list aside for an hour or more; go back to review it. 

Are these realistic goals you can accomplish? Do you have more than four or five?

If you answered yes to the last question you need to look 👀 long and hard at your list. Review your resolutions; pick two or three for the new year. Keep this list; do not discard it. 

I found through my own mistakes I wrote too many on my list and tried to do all at once.  I also found picking two or three worked well for me. 

After a month or so into 2018 review the list. Are you keeping all your 2018 goals?  If you find you may have slacked off, begin again. If you have kept the goals, then maybe you could try to work on one of the others. 

One thing you don't want to do is get too overwhelmed or burden by trying to keep resolutions.  As I said before, if you are falling short don't give up; keep trying.
