DAY TEN....A small stuff animal.
Day seven’s gift idea was a piece of jewelry. If you recall my husband gave me a whimsical piece of jewelry as well as another custom made piece. If you read the day seven piece you’ll recall the whimsical piece was a bracelet with a unicorn charm. He said something about about me finding the item amusing. Well today’s gift the miniature stuff animal was a unicorn. He said he picked up the small animal then he noticed the bracelet. It was funny to say the least. The unicorn, since it was so miniature, prompted him to give me something else. An out of box gift. This gift a pair of red socks with hearts. The sock material is more fleecy than regular cotton socks. No problem I’ll wear them. He said he liked how they looked and decided to purchase them. He also said the daily gift list is just idea and can be changed up. He’s so right.
Now the funny part of this is the socks. He told me he purchased them few weeks ago. As you recall the other day he also gave me a pair of socks in the snack basket. His thought was that since we’ve had chilly days in Florida and I’ve been wearing socks why wear boring white Ive when I can wear funky ones. Guess that’s as good as an explanation as any.
Today I gave him a small brown teddy bear; the bear has a scent to it, chocolate. He said well at least he won’t be gaining any weight from the scent. Eventually I’m sure the scent will disappear but it was an interesting item to buy. Picking out today’s item was fun. I had been to many stores over the past few weeks and looked at what was available. I went with the teddy bear as my husband likes karaoke. One song he does is the Elvis song “Teddy Bear” and after doing the song on occasion he has gone on to give a teddy bear to someone in the audience. This bear will no doubt go into his collection.
When thinking about picking out the item to give today; think about the recipient and their likes and dislikes. You don’t want to give a dog lover a stuffed cat or vice versa.
As my husband sat sniffing the scented bear, he said he got a craving for a piece of chocolate. Since it was early morning he made hit chocolate. I wonder if the manufacturer of the bear knew what they were doing? As you see when I purchased this bear I too had a craving for chocolate and ended up buying a candy bar at the checkout.
You can get a stuff animal today or be like my husband and think out of the box to change the gift. It does not matter as I always say ‘it’s the thought that counts’.
This morning I was finally able to use the glasses and sparkling juice from yesterday. It was a romantic morning breakfast as while breakfast we watched a romantic movie.
Until tomorrow.....enjoy your Sunday.

SMALL WORD
(From the book “LOVE ALWAYS and FOREVER”)
L....
O....
V....
E....
LOVE...
A small four letter word
With an unexplainable
meaning
That even a few short
sentences can not define
LOVE......
An emotion that one does not
sell or buy
But given freely to another
Around since the beginning
of time
A mystery that perhaps
will remain unsolved
LOVE......
Strong affections within your
heart
Dearly held for a special
person
Constant devotion each and
every day
To that one individual only
Undivided attention to all the do or say
LOVE......
Such a small word that can
bring
Joy......
Pleasure......
Fulfillment......
Contentment......
Excitement......
Yet......there are moments
Love brings tears......
Despair......
And sorrow
LOVE......
The Bible tells us that
'Love is kind
Patient
Never boastful or rude
Love bears, believes,
hopes and endures all things
It is never ending'
LOVE......
The adoration given from one
heart to another
A gift to cherish always
