DAY SEVEN.....Piece of jewelry
Jewelry is nice to receive. I have stuff I have not actually worn for years. I like to put on a necklace and bracelet to dress up a casual outfit. As for earrings, having two piercings in both ears, I don’t wear them much anymore. One reason being having longer hair it’s not worth it for me.
I have an acquaintance who makes one of a kind jewelry and I have few of her creations. Funny as people will see my necklace or bracelet she made and want the same. She has duplicated a few of the pieces that someone wants. I always say I have the original and everyone else has the knockoff.
My husband saw the FOURTEEN DAYS of VALENTINE’S GIFT IDEAS. He decided to be funny with today’s gift. He gave me a little bracelet with a unicorn charm. It reminded me of something a little girl would like. The item a unicorn charm on a leather type band for the wrist. He said well there’s a reason for this which you’ll find amusing in a few days. Okay I’m thinking. After I get tired of the new bracelet I can always have the charm put on my sterling silver charm bracelet. My charm bracelet is a throwback to years gone by when they were a popular item to wear.
As for me giving a piece of jewelry to my husband today, yes I did give him something. I had a masculine necklace created for him. It was done from a pin from a veteran’s organization which we belong; my acquaintance was able to take the pin to create the piece for my husband. He really like it. It’s something he can wear anything of the year.
Picking up a piece of jewelry is not all that easy. I’d rather receive a piece I can wear with any outfit I may throw together. In my opinion a piece of jewelry can dress up any outfit. I like short chain pieces rather than longer ones. I enjoy something I don’t see anyone wearing (reason I go to my acquaintance). I’ve found her pieces (yes they are more costume but high quality costume) more reasonable than pieces I’ve seen in the same category as department stores. Actually I’ve given her creations as gifts to people. By doing this I have actually ended up taking orders for duplicates of what I’ve given away. Do I get anything from this? No! It’s good advertising.
I guess I got off the gift track there.
Well you need not spend a fortune on a piece of jewelry. Think about something that the person can wear with jeans or a casual look. After all it’s the thought of the gift that counts as I’ve said time and again. After the unicorn item he gave me the real gift for the day. A one of kind item made by our friend/acquaintance. It’s a really nice piece I can wear ALL year and not just during Valentine’s Day month. I wear a quite a bit of red, so this will be appropriate.
I received Day 6 gift later in the day after I had posted for the day. What my husband did was take a pink plastic heart shape basket I had stored away to use for the snacks. He ended up filling it with a few boxes of the candy heart; a pair of socks with hearts on it and a bag of peanut butter filled pretzels. It came as a surprise at the end of the day. Of course socks aren’t something to eat, but he found them on sale and thought I’d enjoy having another pair to wear. Actually I was pleased to get the socks as I’ll be wearing them over the weekend.
Until tomorrow....have a great day.
DAY EIGHT GIFT IDEA....Hershey kisses in a candy jar.

Today I’m giving a quote from a poem published in the book “LOVE ALWAYS and FOREVER”
"SMALL WORD"
'LOVE.......
An emotion that one does not
sell or buy
But given freely to another
Around since the beginning of
time
A mystery that perhaps will
remain unsolved'
