Short read today.
Children’s book week 8-14
Split pea soup week 8-14
My thankful today is water. After all it’s an essential in our life.
Sometimes I like to post the wacky/weird holiday as what is being celebrated for the week such as I did for today. I decided to acrostic SPLIT PEA as being split pea soup week. I am a lover of soups; I do recall having split pea as a child as my
step-grandmother made it with ham. I don’t like it anymore thanks to a certain movie which I won’t name. Give me a clam chowder Manhattan or New England; I line both. Soup I find as a comfort food; tomato soup and grilled cheese during lent. I recently had a tasty clam chowder (New England) served in a bread bowl; even ate some of the bowl too.
As well I decided to do the word CHILDREN for Children’s Book Week. This I composed about the importance of reading to children and that children should have books to hold in their hand and not an e-reading device. I loved my little Golden Books. I was curious if they were still around and found they were. It great to be able to get an answer in a few seconds. I remember spending hours lost in books as a child. I’d never felt I had enough to read. I think that’s what made me a reading junkie now starting early in life with books.
Today is Monday again and another weeks begins.
Until tomorrow....have a great day and week ahead and as always Stay Safe.

THANKFUL REFLECTIONS DAY 9
I’m thankful for water today. We need water to survive and water needed for crops and live stock. Water is an essential need in our lives. I mentioned I was thankful for rain yesterday well it gives us the water we need. I’m thankful I can get drinkable water at water filling areas.

CHILDREN NEED TO READ

(Children’s Book Week 11-8 to 11-14)
Children need to begin early to enjoy
reading
How I loved hearing bedtime stories when
young
It is important to read at night to the child
Little Golden Books were a favorite of mine
Don’t know if they’re still available
Reading is an important life skill
Every child should have books to enjoy
Not on a e-reading device, but one to hold
in their hands
