TWENTY-EIGHT DAYS of LOVE....Day 12

Today I’m posting early.  I have a lot to do before ten.  I’m having an early birthday party I’m throwing for myself at my Amvets post.  I’m a usual Friday person stopping by to see what’s going on and I like Fridays there. We have a dedicated group who come play WASHERS.  They are nice folks who support the post every week.  Generally the post will buy pizza and then sell slices to those wanting it.  I wanted to make it a pizza party and donate the pizza on behalf of my birthday WHICH is the 16th. I also ordered four dozen fancy cupcakes instead of a sheet cake.  It’s easier to grab a cupcake and run then a plate with a fork.
I’m also delivering my Valentine’s Day surprises to the bartenders.  I thought about being funny and signing a card or two Your
Secret Admirer then leaving it at different seats at the bar with a few chocolate kisses with it.  Of course that’s up in the air.
SECRET ADMIRER was the Valentine’s word yesterday.  I wrote a piece about someone receiving items not knowing who they are from.  I even used the odd word from Wednesday in the piece.  The second verse is also focused on an unknown delivery.
The wacky holiday piece describe part of my morning yesterday.  Yes my favorite cup broke and I had no cream cheese and I  pushed the milk to one side it fell and the top came loose; as for the bag breaking yes it did but outside not inside. The rest of the day did go better.  Those incidents occurred all during a one hour time frame.
Terry’s word for yesterday was COSMOPOLIS which I never heard before. The definition could probably define the city where I grew up.
It’s Friday only two shopping days till Valentine’s Day.
Until tomorrow....have a great day; wear your red and as always Stay Safe.

                   MAKING HER DAY
At mid-morning she received a dozen
lavender roses in a red glass vase
A card with the words:
To cheer you on this day of love
             From an admirer

A box of chocolate covered strawberries
   and chocolates arrived at eleven
   A card with the words:
          Have a sweet day
            From your admirer

Whoever the sender....she had no clue
no one special in her life at the moment
The one she adored left without any reason
     telling her goodbye outside her
       apartment building two weeks prior

Alone on Valentine’s Day....she planned the
       day
First open a bottle or two of pink
champagne and read a good mystery

Another delivery arrived at noon
A heart shaped pepperoni and mushroom
         pizza....her favorite
       The note read:
            Enjoy your day
               Someone is thinking of you
             Always....your secret admirer
       PS.  See you next week

The secret admirer indeed a mystery
She did not care if she was being
         hornswoggled....the secret admirer
           made her day

💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
            HEALING a BROKEN HEART

Who is my secret admirer
The one who sent me roses of yellow
Was it someone I’ve known for many years
Or perhaps a very nice new fellow
No matter who the person could be
Thank you....you made the day brighter
You cheered up a sad and lonely soul
My once heavy broken heart feels lighter

        WACKY HOLIDAYS February 11th
(National Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Day; National White Shirt Day; National Make a New Friend Day; and National Peppermint Patty Day)

Today everything seems to have gone
      wrong so far
My favorite coffee cup broke....the garbage
     bag ripped while heading outside
ran out of cream cheese for my
       bagel....move the milk container it
      then fell and spilled
No tears will I cry
Hopefully things will look up later
I plan to wear my new white shirt
      with the pink hearts
Head out to the club for a meeting
perhaps I’ll meet a new friend there while
indulging in a peppermint patty martini

                  COSMOPOLIS

Many cities can be defined as being
       cosmopolis
I grew up in one.....I do believe....Chicago
New York City is one too....but never been
      there
