Today's 'write a poem a day' challenge piece comes from my own life. As a veteran I belong to many veteran's organizations. The American Legion being one I have been member of for over forty years. The Legion post where I now belong as a Wednesday karaoke in the late afternoon and it's also chicken wing sales day. I enjoy going out for the wings to support the Legion as well as at times for karaoke. Today I was in a quandary as whether I really wanted to go out or stay home. So I wrote today's poem about my dilemma.
As I stated before many poems this month may come from what is going on in my life at the time.
Enjoy!
Until tomorrow....hope your decisions today aren't ruled by a flip of the coin like mine.

Another Wednesday.....
Karaoke day at the Legion
Its chicken wing day as well
Do I dare go out for wings and songs?
Should I remain at home and write?
Perhaps read instead
A good book of poetry could be
my entertainment for the late
afternoon
A glass of wine π·......
Cheeseπ§....crackers.....

Poetry......
Stay home π‘ .......
Venture out in the world π
Flipping a quarter.....
Heads I go.....tails I stay
Once.....twice....three times
Best two out of three wins.....
My decision made by the coin
