Friday I wear a red shirt and a red wrist band; when I leave the house on Friday I have a red hat on my head. I’ve been doing the wearing of the red for close to seven years now possibly more. I wear this to support our troops who are deployed. On my social media page I post that it’s Friday and the day to wear red. That was my inspiration for today’s three line thought and poem.
Looking for poets whose last name begin with the letter C I found the following. One was Billy Collins whose work I’ve read before. The other was an unknown to me, Anastasia Clark. As she seems to be in my generation I decided to pick her. I found the two poems interesting. I hope to continue with poets that are unknown to many.
With many of us being on a ‘Stay at Home’ order due to the Corona Virus, finding new poets to read is something you can do.
Enjoy today’s poem that is dedicated to our troops.
Until tomorrow....stay safe.
DAY THREE.....THREE LINE THOUGHT
Donning my RED tee shit and a RED wrist
band for the day
Although I’m not heading out of the
house
I’m still supporting our troops and
REMEMBER EVERYONE DEPLOYED
WEARING of THE RED

RED....the color symbolizing the blood shed
by those serving in the military
currently sacrificing their lives
for the cause of freedom
Wearing RED each Friday a way to show the
support of troops deployed
A dress shirt, a blouse, a sweater,
a tee shirt, a wrist band, a hat
Make the color RED be noticed
Be proud to wear the color
Tell others why RED is worn on Friday
R....REMEMBER
E....EVERYONE
D....DEPLOYED
RED....Wear it every Friday
For our troops until they all come home
