Short blog today
Well this weeks writing challenge is to write pieces using something about the day of the week. Today’s piece is how Monday sneaks up and steals the weekend away from you. It seems the weekend just begins and here it is Monday again. I’m finding these challenges just that a challenge especially when timed. The JULY piece today reflects my feeling on our country. There are those giving off negativity about living here and it’s still as good today as a motto from the sixties ‘America Love It or Leave It’. My daily reflection is what I’m wondering will be news topic for the week. Right now seems people are talking about the Orlando park venues opening. I’m surprised they are but our veterans clubs are closed. More people go to the parks than the clubs. But of course that’s my opinion.
Today is National French Fry Dayπ.
Have a few fries with ketchup or malt vinegar ( my husbands way to eat them).
Until next time....have a good day.

July 13th....DAILY REFLECTIONS
Another weeks begins today....so I wonder
what issues will be this weeks news
topic
What news item will take center stage this
week....The President....
protestors....riots
I think COVID-19 will still be front and
center....opening of the Orlando park
venues a close second

Joining the WACs is something I would
surely do again
United States of America, my country I
gladly will defend
Love America or leave it, a phrase
from back in the sixties
You know it is still true today, don’t
like America leave it quickly

MONDAY THOUGHTS
© Scottie-ann Murphy
Monday sneaks up on Sunday
like a thief in the night
Stealing the weekend from us
Monday madness a new week begins
heading back to the five day grind
Until the weekend rolls around again
Monday is like liver for most of us
it’s something few do not enjoy
But it can’t be stopped, no matter how we
try
Monday happens, what can we do
but pull up our big person panties
And deal with it, one hundred and twenty
hours till Saturday
