SUMMER’S HERE....July 22nd

Short blog day.

I think I over did Junk Food Day.  I should have just stuck with some pretzels but I also had jalapeño chips and peanuts. It wasn’t much, but I think having all three was just too much for me.
I never had a hammock but if I did I would want one of the freestanding ones not one tied to a tree.  I’d put it under the tree for shade though.  I wrote the hammock poem as it’s National Hammock Day.  It just fell into place as I pictured it all in my mind.
I was awake at 4:30am.  No idea why so I read till 6:00; then I heard my neighbor take out his trash bin. Decided that’s when I’ll write my daily reflection.  Another Wednesday and I have no idea where the last two days went.  It seems the hours speed by so fast or time flies. It’s not like I’m going anyplace and here I was up early.
Oh well that’s the way things go.  Today being hammock day I only wish I had one.
Until tomorrow....have a good day.

      July 22nd....DAILY REFLECTIONS

Just another day....I have no plans...yet up
            before the sun....no idea why

Garbage Day....I hear my neighbor roll out
         their receptacle....I think hubby
will be taking ours out shortly when
                   it gets lighter outside

My big going out adventure today....to the
curb to bring the trash bin back....should I
wear my tiara or Bitch Bonnet with my.
           outfit today

Jelly beans, pretzels, chips, popcorn and
       cookies

Unfortunately National Junk Food Day, I
         should not have celebrated

Looking back on yesterday, should have
       just had pretzels

You can’t relive days of junk eating when
        you’re over sixty

In my hammock today I plan to lay
Be lazy, open a book and read away
Take a nap in the shade of the old elm trees
While listening to sounds of birds and bees

Forget about the world’s issues for a day
As I ponder life while I swing and sway
The hammock is the place I have found
To be when life gets me blue and down

So in my hammock today I will lay
Doing nothing but read as I swing and sway
