Well good morning at 3:15am to you all. It’s funny I remember when I was a bartender at my American Legion Post in Pennsylvania we closed at 3:00am. I’d be just leaving at 3:15am after shutting everything down. Now I’m waking up at that time. Too funny for sure.
I’m shocked at the price of gas. Yesterday I was a tad bit below the half so I figured $15 would fill my tank; no way it did it filled it to a slight
below the full mark. Guess I should have just handed the store clerk a twenty. Enough said about the ridiculous price of petro. (Yes I’m using the term they say across the pond).
What’s up with our crazy world. First the Coke bear, Dr. Seuss now Pepe LePew. It’s a cartoon skunk chasing most times a cat. What is next? Donald Duck cause he’s pant less? Enough already.
On a much more interesting note March was one of the themes for today. There really is a lot going on this month. In areas that are warm and sunny, spring breakers are headed to the beaches. There are times I recall Easter falling in March but this year Palm Sunday falls in March which is the start of Holy Week.
Arizona and Florida have MLB spring training and in my area in central Florida the 12 Hours of Sebring Motorsports Race. Next week it’s the day for the wearing of the green.
My St. Patrick’s/Irish word for yesterday was LIMERICK. I wrote two; but only mentioned the word limerick in one. I don’t know who this Bobby is in the first one but it worked. Could be any guy who was not in the Navy. For some reason the word swabbie popped in my head so I tried to use words that rhymed with swabbie. Why I think it did because the other day I used as my daily posting clip art for Women’s History Month a female sailor. I wondered if they called the women swabbie like they call the men. I believe with that word in my head I wanted to use it in the limerick.
Please no offense to anyone named Bobby; don’t want to offend any guys name Bobby.
The second limerick is about a mellow guy who bellows when mad. They were fun to compose.
Terry’s daily word was HEADSTRONG. I wrote pieces about a female and the second about a male who is headstrong.
I can relate to being this way definitely. I can be stubborn to a ‘T’ at times.
I am enjoying her daily vocabulary words.
The wacky holidays were not my favorites yesterday. I did put them together.
It’s Hump Day!
Until tomorrow....have a great day and as always Stay Safe.

MADNESS of MARCH
Roaring in like a lion the month begins
March an eventful month
Of course it does depend where you
live for some events
March Madness begins the college
hoops playoff
Games galore for the basketball fan
Baseball begins spring training in
Arizona and Florida
Boys of summer getting prepared for
another season on the diamond
Race fans gather in Florida for the 12
Hours of Sebring Motorsports
Endurance Race
Beach areas await the arrival of
spring breakers from frigid northern
temperatures
Women are honored for Women’s
History Month
We will revel that spring will arrive
and we hope old man winter makes a
hasty goodbye
Clocks turned ahead one hour
longer days....shorter nights
Everyone becomes Irish for twenty-four
hours on the seventeenth
Green will be the color of the day
Holy Week begins on the twenty-eight
Like a meek lamb March will move on
with April arriving on its coattails

NOT a SAILOR
(Limerick for Someone Who Was
Not in the Navy)
There once was a fellow name Bobby
Drinking shots of Jack with beer was
his hobby
A really hard working guy
He was indeed very spry
But got mad if you called him a swabbie
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
MR. NICE GUY
A limerick to a truly cool fellow
His demeanor was quite very mellow
But when he got really mad
You would not be so glad
When he began to rant and bellow

MISS HARD-NOSED
Stubborn she was standing her ground
Being strong-minded was not just an
act
Would not listen when her friends
tried to help
Obstinate and bull-headed that was a
fact
She thought they should not mind her
business
They tried to tell her more than twice
The man was indeed a big time player
But she refused their unsolicited
advice
Would stick to her guns and go out on
the date
Decided everyone’s opinion totally
wrong
Do as she pleased as this was her life
She was self-willed and very
headstrong
🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣🟣
FOOLHARDY
Pig-headed and mulish
Obstinate and foolish
He was headstrong and not very smart
Knew nothing about certain women; or
affairs of the heart
She treated him like a prize possession
That she purchased cheaply at the
mall
Always wanted him available when
she wanted
He was constantly at her beck and call
But someday she’ll get tired of him
And leave him standing high and dry
Turn her back and strut out of his life
Without a adios, au revoir or goodbye

WACKY HOLIDAYS March 9th
(Unique Names Day; National Barbie
Day; National Crabmeat Day and
National Meatball Day)
While enjoying my meatball sub
I look toward the shelf where my
Penn State Cheerleader Barbie sits
This year I’m hoping they have a better
football season
As I continue chowing down on the
sub my mind wanders
Should I pick an unique pen name?
Also why didn’t I have the crab cakes?
