MADNESS of MARCH....Day 11

Again awake at the time I use to go to bed. It’s 3:25am according to my phone clock. I read till eleven then got drowsy.  I do fall back to sleep around four until six or seven.
Been quite stressed about my husband and I think that’s why I awake when I do or could be use to hearing him get up at this time for the bathroom. Even with him in rehab I’m still waking up.
It is getting to the point I’m getting so frustrated with this all going on in my life.  After he spent the night at the hospital after being taken to the ER on Tuesday, I went to see him at the hospital.  They sent him back to rehab yesterday and I left to come home as I can’t get into see him at rehab. Darn COVID is why.  So home I came and had a good cry.  Did I feel better? Yes I did.
My St. Patrick’s word for yesterday DONNYBROOK.  Funny but back in January this was one of Terry’s words of the day.  I had to read back what I wrote that day.  I used it this time about a guy who seems to get into a bit of trouble when he drinks too much wine. The other piece focuses on a group of friends who get together every year for the St. Patty’s parade and the pub crawl. I remember going to a few fo the parades when I lived in Northeast Pennsylvania. There was no pub crawl. I have seen this year the parade has been canceled but rescheduled for September.  So I guess that means two days for people in that area to be Irish.
Terry’s word of the day on Wednesday was SPECULATE.  I used the word as speculation and speculated.  I think both pieces do go together.  That is a good word for me as I speculate on what is really happening with my husband.
The fun piece was the wacky holidays.  I enjoyed trying to connect them together. That’s the fun challenge of the wacky holidays. Trying to compose something around them.
I see today’s wacky holidays and no doubt will find them challenging. I’ll be looking at them in more detail later.
It’s Friday Eve. This week hurried by for sure.
My Lenten project is going well.  I’ve sent many inspirational quotes along with a few whimsical via text or social media to whoever is the days recipient. It was a long involved process to do this. Don’t ask how it came about. For those on my list I see in person I’ve given them something like drinks or one person quarters to play a game.  My grandson who lives in Pennsylvania was recipient of large toy soldiers; purchased and sent by mail.  Today I have two people on my list I have not seen so I plan to buy them drink chips; and the same with Fridays lucky person as I know I won’t see him and don’t want to.  Yes sometimes names were drawn from my pool that I may not like but have respect for if that is odd thing to say. So it looks like drinks for three with a note about them bring recipient of my Lenten project and provide them the date they were on the list.
I’ve found this was a good project as I felt I’ve given of myself even if the person and I don’t see eye to eye.
Until tomorrow....have a terrific Thursday and as always Stay Safe.

                  NOT a WINE GUY

Somebody called him a schnook
He got himself into a donnybrook
It happened almost every time
When he drank to much wine
He should have known that he ought to
Stick with beer or bourbon and water

             THEIR TRADITION

The St. Patrick’s Day pub crawl
   they did partake
Every year after the parade
starting at one bar....then the next
A mug of Guinness here
  a shot of Jamisons there
Plates of ham and cabbage
  Shepherds pie and colcannon
Irish fare at different stops
A fun day for the four friends
just out to celebrate their heritage
until they got into a donnybrook
    over a game of darts
Then it was time to head home

                     ASKING

He speculated on the perfect way to
   ask her on a date
Thinking of clever words that would
    certainly rate
But her broken heart was currently on
    the mend
She only saw the poor guy as a really
     good friend
Eventually he knew in the long run it
     would all work out
She would be his one day that he had
        no doubt

                    BUYING STOCK
Speculation on why affairs of the heart
     never go her way
Again her heart was on the mend
It’s been broken so many times
She wondered about buying stock in
     super glue
