JUST JUNE....Day 10

 

Good Morning let the stress begin as my morning posting on Facebook reads; or let the drama begin as I say. 

It’s really getting frustrating with all my drama.  Sometimes I really think I live in my own soap opera. 

Yesterday I felt very productive and went back to FtS.  I changed one section again; but feel happy with my final product.  Thank you to a certain person who I observed to give me the idea. You’ll never know who you are; but then no one else will either. 

I loved the PAPER DOLLS word yesterday. Actually this toy I guess you can call it taught me how to use scissors. I remember the plastic scissors used to cut the dolls clothes.  

I used plain white paper to make my own little creations for my paper dolls.  It was fun trying my hand to draw dresses and skirts and tops. Paper dolls I’d pack to take on summer vacations for rainy days that outside activities could not happen.  I remember one woman’s magazine, the McCalls had a paper doll in the magazine.  The paper doll, Betsy McCall, was a favorite of mine.  I ended up pasting it on a piece of cardboard and cutting it out. 

I wonder if little girls today would be as interested in such a thing?  I researched and found they are still being created.  

Today is Friday Eve.  Seems again the week is just speeding past.

             CUTTING LESSONS 

Cutting the clothes carefully 

 the hanging tabs the hardest part 

Taught me the art of using scissors 

 Mine were purple and blue plastic 

Hours of fun with my paper dolls

Making my own outfits for them 

     sometimes 

Drawing on paper....coloring my 

    creations

I felt like a fashion designer 

Paper dolls could easily go anywhere

Took them on many vacations with me

Best rainy day entertainment
