As I think about laying in bed yesterday, I felt like staying put. Outside I heard the birds tweeting and I thought well it’s time to get up. I knew I had a lot I wanted to do yesterday. Visiting my husband then stopping to get the Monday lunch appreciation menu to post on the Amvets Facebook page.
Naturally it had to pour when I got into my car at rehab. Odd it rained for a few miles, then stopped and in a few miles began again. Finally the sun came out again an hour later.
Today I have a full plate again. Visiting my husband; stores for few items then to a meeting.
This is the last Monday of the month. Seems the month went by so quickly. In less than six days we will be celebrating July 4th. One thing I dislike is people shooting off fireworks for a week every night. I have no qualms about on the fourth but days before and after are just too much for me especially when they go past midnight.
I do think this year people will be out and about for the fourth especially since last year many of the events were cancelled. I recall being on lockdown for the fourth. I will say it did not stop people in my area from shooting off fireworks. In fact it went on every night for three evenings.
The nostalgic toy/game yesterday was SPIROGRAPH. My step-siblings and I shared one. I recall the fancy drawings we made and colored with crayon and colored pencils. It kept us occupied on rainy days and cold winter evenings. But like with most toys, it becomes boring after awhile and something else takes its place.
Until tomorrow….I hope everyone has a great day; and as always Stay Safe.

TO MUCH on THE PLATE
Morning awakens….a new day begins
Outside my window I hear bird song
Tweets and chirps seem to say
“Good Morning….Good Morning”
“Time to get up to start the day”
I lay in bed….listening to the sounds of
nature as I think of
the day and what I need to do
My to do list has me thinking I
should stay in bed today

SPIROGRAPH
We had to share this item
three of us all creating master pieces
The Spirograph provided hours of
entertainment on rainy days and
cold wintery nights
Some say it was an educational toy
To me it was an item to spark the
imagination of designing beautiful
abstract pictures
