I took a rest and relax day yesterday. My nose was terrible stuffy and I kept sneezing the day before. I did not sleep well the night prior. I did not venture outside except to bring in my trash bin.
I mostly read and watched games shows. Today I feel better. Nose not stuffy and not sneezing. My daily observation reflected my feelings on an R&R day.
The nostalgic toy/game word was JUMP ROPE. I had quite a few as a kid. My favorite was a green and yellow one. I could use it by myself; standing in one place or skipping and jumping down the street. I also had a long piece of clothesline for when others came to play. I finally mastered double Dutch when I was in seventh grade. We once had a contest who could jump the longest. My record was one hundred and fifty jumps. Of course I got no trophy but bragging rights. The little rhymes and songs were fun when jumping. These daily words this month sure have memories popping in my head. Not sure if little girls even play with a jump rope anymore or not. Jump rope was inexpensive and hours of fun.
Well today is Friday Eve.
Until tomorrow….enjoy the day and as always Stay Safe.

DAILY REFLECTIONS
Sometimes you need a day to revive
yourself
Just relaxing and taking it easy
I need these days more than often
it seems

JUMPING FUN
Hours spent with the jump rope
had a green and yellow one
I could use it on my own jumping the
hours away
Also great when two others would
come to play….then we used a long
piece of clothesline
The cute songs and rhymes
which we jumped to
It took me weeks to master Double
Dutch
One hundred and fifty jumps my record
Jumping rope a great exercise but I
only thought of it as play
