Yesterday sure gave me grief. While I sat in my car in the parking lot of the VA clinic my windows were opened. My husband had an appointment and I gone along as we had other errands as well after. I did not go into the clinic due to fact they are social distancing and I’d have to wear my mask. I did not want to take up space that might be needed inside. A woman walked past me, she had on a mask, asked where mine was. I told her as I’m sitting in the car don’t need it; she began to go off that as I’m out my house I need to be wearing a mask. Well in my car I’m alone and breathing my own germs. It’s getting weird out there with people acting like the Mask Police or Mask Gestapo. We all need to mind our own affairs. 😷😷
Today’s AUGUST acrostic and verse both deal with the same subject. Both center around marriage proposals. The first, the acrostic piece, is woman is requesting the man to ask again. She just wanted to hear the words a second time.
The verse deals with a woman wanting time to think her answer while the man patiently waits. Not sure why I wrote these but they were different. Of course the answer to the second piece is not given. So it leaves the reader with their own conclusions.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Until tomorrow....Stay Safe.

Ask me again, please, say the same words
once more
Unless you feel once was enough, but
please ask again
Got to hear the words from your lips, please
ask again
Understand I believe what you said, but
please ask again
Sweeter words were never spoken to me
before, ask me again
The answer will be yes of course, ask again,
please
TIME TO THINK
© Scottie-ann Murphy
He asked her the question on bended knee
Sweetheart, will you marry me?
Her reply not given immediately
She wanted time to think
He waited patiently for her answer
On bended knee he stayed
Wearing a big grin on his face
She wanted time to think
In his hand the black velvet box
Holding the sparkly ring
Her reply not given immediately
She wanted time to think
He waited while she sipped her wine
His knee began to ache
A patient man he was indeed
She wanted time to think
