DOG DAYS of SUMMER....August 8th

I was never good at bowling. There I said it, although I own shoes and bowling ball.  I think it all began as a kid when my 

step-father made my step siblings and I join a youth league.  I hated it.  I was not coordinated I felt to throw a ball down the lane. I had probably more gutter balls than pins down.  But there was a year I did a good job in my 40’s.  I got some decent scores and only because my husband and I went every week.  Guess you need to play on a regular basis to be any good.  Now I have downloaded an app to play.  I was not that good at first so I used the score in the piece I put together.   For some reason I thought it would be a different piece to do.  It was hard to play on the app, write the score down after each frame so I could have an authentic game.  

I wrote the AUGUST acrostic piece about wacky holidays.  It is not a true to life piece.

But I must admit this was a fun piece to write.  It sort of goes along with my Daily Reflections for today.  

This is Saturday, beginning of the weekend. Hope your day will be a great one.  As I’m going to see if I can do better with the bowling app I downloaded yesterday.  After all I have to improve after the first game I used for the piece I did.  It’s National Bowling Day, so why not play on the app; and the beer frame I won’t have far to go to get one.

With being not able to go places I 

      enjoy....my new form of  

           fun....celebrating the Wacky/Weird          

               Holiday of the day

Unfortunately yesterday was an interesting 

     day....I had to celebrate at home....a few 

         brews for International Beer      

             Day....under normal circumstances 

                I’d celebrate at the Amvets 

         

At least I’m not celebrating today’s 

   Wacky/Weird Holiday....International 

      Hangover Day is today....cheers

 Achy achy head I have, only me to blame 

Ugh why I did revel in yesterday’s wacky 

          holiday  

Guess because it was a Friday, so why not 

        indulge 

Unfortunately today I celebrate with no 

      merriment 

Since yesterday was International Beer Day, 

       I let loose 

Therefore I’m observing the weird holiday     

    today, International Hangover Day
