DOG DAYS of SUMMER....August 16th

It’s Sunday again.  Where did the week go and the weekend?  My days are jumbled together; same with my thoughts.  They are still all over the place.  Today I thought about it being 43 years since Elvis died.  I had hopes when I got up this morning to watch a marathon of his movies on the TCM channel, while I ate popcorn and had a rum and coke.  Unfortunately no channel I find is showing any of his movies. That means today I’ll read.  It’s Sunday and it’ll be my Sunday reading author which I began last week.  My acrostic piece tells it like it is for me.  I have no ambition today. Yesterday I did feel ambitious and did few odd chores.  Today I’m going to veg out with a book later.  As I’ve said yesterday and probably day before I need to take a break from writing anything.  Although lately a few of my acrostic AUGUST pieces are true to life.  

I do hope everyone has a great day.  It’s Sunday as I said, tomorrow will be the Monday Blahs and Blues.  A Facebook friend, Terry (a guy by that name. Not to confuse anyone with the female Terry I may mention on occasion) said that Tuesday is just the ugly sister of Monday.  It’s funny when you think of it; but I see Tuesday as Hump Day Eve.  Could be one way to think of it.

 Weird thoughts entered my mind today at

    5:30am....first why am I up early....what 

      are my plans today 

Today it’s 43 years since Elvis left the 

   building....I hope TCM is having a      

     marathon of his movies today

It’s National Rum Day too....be nice to 

    spend day with Elvis, Captain Morgan

       and Orville Redenbacher....with my luck 

         it’ll only be two out of three

Another day, another day, another day

 Unambitious am I this morning, don’t feel 

      productive 

Going to go with the flow, what 

      happens will happen 

Unlike yesterday, I did something 

           constructive 

Some days one just needs to unwind mind    

       and soul

 Then again I remember I did that two days      

    ago
