DOG DAYS of SUMMER....August 15th

It’s mid-month today; well how I calculate it mid-month is at noon today.  There are thirty-one days this month so at noon it is August 15th and a half.  Ok you say this is weird but it’s how I calculate.  In February mid-month is on Valentine’s Day unless it’s a leap year.
I’m still not motivated to write anything.  Is my muse, whoever or whatever it is, hiding from me?  Do I just need to clear my head. I’ve written something an acrostic, daily thought/reflection or something everyday since April 1st.  Perhaps I need to step back from writing for awhile.  Happened before can happen again.  Sometimes you need to clear your brain.  I just read a poem by Terry  today; she wrote both her poem and haiku about decluttering the mind.  I think I have a lot going on it seems; too many open tabs some useless.  In fact for a few days I won’t even think of being creative. Just read, play games, watch some tv and clear away cobwebs inside.
It’s Saturday....National Relaxation Day according to wacky/weird holidays.  Enjoy your Saturday.
Until next time....as always Stay Safe.

     August 15th....DAILY REFLECTIONS

It’s the middle of the month....no mid month
will be at noon today....it will be August 15
and half then....there’s 31 days this
        month....that’s how I calculate things

Another weekend has arrived....just another
     weekend....no plans

I have books to read....I have food to
eat when hungry ...beverages to quench
my thirst....what more do I need today

As I see by the calendar the month is half
     over

Unless you feel that a half month remains

Guess it depends on your outlook of things

Uncertain are we what the last half holds in
          store for us

So it will be wait and see for the next
     sixteen days

The only thing to do, take it day by day by
        day
