Short read
Today is short read. I have to leave shortly to drive 78 miles to the VA facility where an x-ray is to be done on my husband. No idea what traffic will be like on the road today or if I’ll encounter construction.
Monday, Monday again. Another week begins. Another week of what is considered still in quarantine status. Will places ever open again to full capacity?
It’s uncertain for sure.
My reflection centers around how odd things are. Going to a VA facility for x-ray and having to text that we arrived. They call it remote check-in; then sit in your car till they text you back to come inside. They did also text that masks are required. It’s the way it is these days.
I wrote acrostic piece about sunrise and the narrator standing at the lake watching it. The narrator has no idea anyone is near when they shout a good morning. Like the narrator of the piece, my thoughts too spin like a top at times.
Hope everyone enjoys their Monday.
Until next time....as always Stay Safe.

August 17th....DAILY REFLECTIONS
Up and about early....at least today for
a reason....taking hubby for X-Ray of knee
at VA site in Bradenton
Debating if I go inside with him or stay in car....then of all dumb things....we got text message yesterday that once we arrive we have to text them to let them know we arrived as they are checking patients in by remote....they in turn text back as when to come inside....weird for sure
No doubt they’ll take temperatures before going inside....feel sorry for person sitting outside doing that job

As I watch the sunrise, I thank the Lord for
a new day
Under a clear sky it reflects off Lake
Jackson
Good morning I say out loud to the world
Unaware someone is taking an early day
stroll, they heard me
Silently I stand wondering about what the
day will bring
These thoughts spin in my brain like a top
as I greet the new day
