Today it’s Friday again. Today is the day we wear our red shirts to Remember Everyone Deployed; it’s also National Purple Heart Day, honoring those wounded or kill in combat. I never knew that the Purple Heart was the oldest medal given. What one finds out they never knew. I’ve met a few recipients of this medal over the years. Many don’t come out and tell you they have one. It’s, I guess, something they keep to themselves; they are humble about receiving it or so it seems.
I composed yet another AUGUST acrostic piece. I may keep doing so as long as thoughts come to my mind. Today’s deals with week’s end, my reminiscing about past August days.
The other piece FRIDAY another acrostic popped into my head for some reason. I wrote it as a love type piece. Just how I felt at the moment.
Today is one of the wacky holidays is International Beer Day. If you indulge enjoy a cold brew or two.
Until next time....have a great Friday; for many it TGIF. As always Be Kind and Stay Safe.

A week comes to an end today, it’s Friday
Uneventful for me I unfortunately must say
Generally it would have been better if not
for COVID-19
Usually I’d been doing going someplace
like one of the clubs or out to play
TAP-TV
Such is the way it is at the moment, staying
safe
Today I’m reminiscing of August days of
past

FOREVER TOGETHER
© Scottie-ann Murphy
Forever and a day you and I always
Right or wrong I will stand by you
It takes two to make a relationship work
Don‘t ever doubt my that my feelings aren’t
true
And together we’ll work through good times
and bad
You and I together weathering the gray
skies and blue
