DOG DAYS of SUMMER....August 14th

The last few days I have not felt motivated as I said.  This morning when I woke up at 5:00am my thoughts were all over the place. Can’t think of why I had such thoughts I reflected upon.  It is Friday and V-J Day.  I remember learning about V-J Day in history.  Not sure these days what they teach in history.  As I said my mind was all over this morning.  Another reason as it’s Friday when we wear red to Remember Everyone Deployed.  I’ve actually seen masks depicting these words.  Masks are now coming out in almost everything you can imagine. No doubt we will see the holiday themed ones; can’t wait to see if there’s one for Thanksgiving that has a piece of pumpkin pie or turkey leg on it.
My acrostic pieces the last few days have been about rain. I find rain is a theme of mine for some odd strange reason.  I do hope I can get motivated again to write but perhaps a few days off is what I need.
Today a wacky holiday is creamsicle day.  How I enjoyed them as a kid.
Until next time....enjoy your Friday and as always Stay Safe.

August 14th....DAILY REFLECTIONS

My mind is all over the place at
5am....V-J Day is today....75 years ago
WWII ended....So few of our WWII
         veterans remain

It’s Friday....I’m going to wear my red shirt
today as always....now I’ve actually seen
       Remember Everyone Deployed face
          masks being sold

Face masks are the new accessory to
    have....sure they’re already getting them
      ready with Halloween and Christmas
       themes

Afternoon rain storms quench the thirsty
       earth

Unhappy am I, they spoil my plans at the
     moment

Going out to sit in the yard to read
          canceled for now

Unfortunately I must remain indoors
listening to the patter of rain hitting the
      windows

Still we do need the precipitation to hydrate
     the flora and fauna

Tomorrow I’ll plan again to sit outdoors and
    loose myself in a book
