DOGS DAY OF AUGUST....August 2nd

It’s Sunday and we await the latest track of the Hurricane Isaias.   Sun was shinning an hour ago but now it’s clouding up as I know it’ll rain soon.  Today I did an AUGUST acrostic piece about the news media and a verse about it also.
I think the media can sensationalize news out of proportion.  I actually read a few different sights to see if they are reporting the same thing.  I think maybe one news media provider wants to one up the competition.  I really do plan to put my head in the sand one day but not till the middle of next week.  I have tried this before but ended up giving into reading news online and watching on television. I will keep you posted definitely on how this plays out for me.  Today is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day so why not indulge with one.
Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday.
Until tomorrow....as always Be Kind and Stay Safe.

   August 2nd....DAILY REFLECTIONS m

Sun is shining at the moment....I know later
rain will come....weather app shows in
a few hours it will begin

What else do I expect that it’ll rain
     today....Isaias is coming towards the
         state

It’s not like I have plans for the day going
    anyplace....just another day

Always I am curious what occurred
overnight while I was off in dreamland

Using the news media to keep me and
everyone informed, I watch the news,
      read the online newspapers

Getting the latest updates on what is going
on in the world and my own community

Unbeknownst to me if it is correctly being
   given or changed for sensationalism

Still listen to the news, read the paper and
        wonder

Thinking those providing the information
      have given the true facts

I watch the news
  read online newspapers
      to receive updates
 on happenings in the world
  while I slept

I scan the obits
   check the weather forecast
      while sipping my morning coffee

But sometimes it depresses me
  murders, shootings, COVID-19,
    riots, protests, home evasions,
sports figures kneeling during the anthem

ENOUGH is ENOUGH is ENOUGH

There are days I can’t take it anymore
But screaming won’t change a thing

I plan to take a day
to not watch or read the news
an ostrich for a day I will be

But not today
 Perhaps tomorrow
