DOG DAYS of SUMMER....August 13th

Another short read.

I have not felt motivated for few days.  I think I need to just sit back; not think about stuff and maybe I’ll get motivated again.  Maybe not write for awhile.
I was up early as I had quite a bit to do. I did take my masks (extra).  No one bugged me today.  I actually ate inside an establishment and it felt good not to be wearing a mask.  It was enjoyable to have a few drinks and be someplace other than home.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
My AUGUST acrostic comes from a rainy day when I was younger.  I’d put on my rain gear and stroll outside twirling my umbrella as I walked. I’d jump in puddles dine I had rain boots back then.  It triggered the idea for the piece.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.

August 13th....DAILY REFLECTIONS

I watched out my window as the sun made
its presence today....ready for the day by
       6....errands day

My check list to leave house includes
     MASK....sanitizer in my purse....extra
mask....I need a bigger purse it seems
           to hold extra stuff anymore

Hope this day will fare better than
Monday....I’ll have to check out drivers in
the cars....see how many are masked

As I look out my window, rain gently hits the
ground, I decide to go outdoors

Umbrella in hand, my red rain gear I don

Going for a walk in the rain something I’ve
    always enjoyed

Unaffected by the perception the red
umbrella I twirl as I stroll

Splashing in puddles, I laugh like I did as a
     child

Taking a walk in the rain on a spring day,
clears my thoughts and soothes my soul
