JULY JEWELS….Day 15

 

Yesterday Murphy’s Law continued. First the computers acting up at the first bank. Paying my Legion dues I did not get my card same day as usual but need to pick it up. I don’t trust the mail. 

My second bank stop was just as bad.  Computers acting up then big thunderstorms.  A few of us sat in the lobby to wait it out.  One reason was flashes of lightning and big sounds of thunder. None of us could see our cars. After half an hour it slowed to a drizzle and we left. I only had a short drive and arrived home before it started again. 

That was a sign to stay put and rearrange my schedule till the morning for my last errand of the day. This one I can do on my way to see my husband. 

Well I’ll see if Murphy’s Law will keep on with me today; after all I am a Murphy. 

The vintage cartoon yesterday was MISTER MAGOO.  Now that was one I did enjoy.  The bumbling near-sighted old guy getting into comical circumstances.  I must admit my favorite of the Mr. Magoo’s was the one where he played Scrooge in the “Christmas Carol”.  I don’t know why but I’ve always like that for some reason. 

Have you noticed I’ve not been up at 3:00am doing this blog?  When I wake up I just go back to sleep.  

Today will be another busy day. I have to first finish my undone errand from yesterday then visit my husband.  After my visit do a few more needed errands.  It’s a never ending cycle it seems. 

Well it is the middle of July.  Where has it gone? I have no clue.  

Until tomorrow….no rain shows in today’s forecast for my area.  Have a great Friday and as always Stay Safe.

Raining like crazy today….I waited inside the bank for half hour till it stopped

Glad they had comfy chairs….I wasn’t the only one sitting out the storm

 due to his near-sightedness 

 Stubborn about the problem

He made me laugh with his

“Oh Magoo, you’ve done it again!”

He always does over and over
