It’s officially the 4th of July weekend. Last night I heard fireworks going off from eight until eleven. No doubt it’s going to be the same tonight. As I travel along US 27 in a twenty-five mile radius I’ve seen at least five temporary tents selling fireworks. It’s like every five miles there’s a tent.
Today will indeed be a busy day for me. I have an E-Board meeting at my Amvets. Usually the meetings are the first Sunday of the month but with this being a holiday on Sunday, it’s a day early. After the meeting it’ll be running home for a sandwich to take to my husband and few other things to eat.
As I type this I’m thinking of what I need to take with me this morning for the meeting. As I won’t be at the cookout tomorrow at the club, I’m taking the fruit I picked up. Also have the treats for the customer appreciation lunch to take also.
I’m having breakfast and I put on the television; there are Christmas movies on one of the channels. They’ve been on all week. It’s Christmas in July month on the one channel.
Yesterday Terry gave us Mickey Mouse as the old cartoon of the day. I researched just when Mickey made his debut. I found it was not in Steamboat Willie but a silent cartoon prior. His look to me has changed over the years. I did my piece as a history lesson. Well that’s two down and ninety-nine cartoons to go now.
Do you have any plans for the fourth?
Are you planning any fireworks display watchings?
Whatever you do celebrate the holiday.
Until tomorrow….have a great day; as always Stay Safe.
