JULY JEWELS….Day 2

 It’s Friday and today we wear our red again. I was already out and back by eight this morning.  Again another grocery store to pick up something I think my husband would enjoy to eat. I must say I think he lost his taste buds since his stroke; I’ve said this before and I am certain of it.  

My daily observation reflects shopping yesterday and this morning. It seems everyone just everyone must be out in the stores as soon as they open.  Like yesterday the parking was not to my advantage.  Of course I did have a list.  Only picked up a few items not on the list; Bing cherries and Rainer cherries.  Yes they were on sale with using the store rewards card.  The other items were a BOGO of Rice Krispy treats which I’ll donate to the customer lunch appreciation at the Amvets.  People enjoy a little treat after eating.  

Well this month Terry decided to pick old cartoons as a topic.  I’m surprised there’s that many, but, I don’t know for sure. Yesterday the first was FELIX the CAT.  I remember the cartoon and it was cute. A cat who carried a bag filled with tricks to get him out of trouble.  

Cartoons were a Saturday thing while having breakfast but we also had chores that needed done also.  I must admit I still like cartoons.  I have a channel that shows them.  Yes I’ve watched Tom and Jerry and others on occasion. This should be a great month of writing about the old cartoons. No doubt many memories will be coming to mind. 

The July fourth holiday weekend begins   for some today and others tomorrow.

Could not find a decent spot to park

  hot wings or garlic Parmesan 

I know I can get them delivered by

  Door Dash in my zip code

Wings and brew a great combo today

Going to buy postage stamps 

  been awhile as I pay bills online

Hope they have more than one postal

  worker at the counters helping the

     customers
