Today’s word is GOBLINS. I could never figure out what a goblin was. I’d always had the idea it was like a headless horseman with the head of a pumpkin; Googling this had provided information but somehow I like my version better. So I took the challenge word and created a verse for a Halloween card for my grandkids (the three youngest). One was born two days after Halloween; one other was due on Halloween but came ten days early. This year they are having a combined Halloween themed birthday party. I know I mentioned this few days ago. I can’t wait to see photos.
The verse I’ll work up into a greeting card to send with a gift card for each for Halloween. Gift cards are good because they can use them however they want at the store. As kids they can buy whatever they feel like and don’t feel guilty they are spending cash. I look that way in giving a child a gift card as opposed to cash.
The acrostic was a wondering of mine before I decided to Google the answer. I looked at images and found them too scary for my liking but I found a cute clip art of one that I used for my daily post about Halloween.
Well it’s Friday. Yes we wear our red today. Although I’ll be forgoing my usual Halloween accessories (jewelry) to wear my red wrist bands. It’s my Friday tradition red bracelets and something patriotic around my neck. My errand out list long for this morning. I have few places I need to go for items and of course gift cards.
It seems I should get myself into first gear but so far only had coffee number one.
It takes two to get me motivated in the mornings.
So today is International Beer and Pizza Day. Enjoy both if you can. Don’t forget red shirt Friday today.
Until tomorrow....Stay Safe.

GAMES of GHOULS

Goblins and Zombies roam the earth
On the night of Halloween
Monsters and Ghosts close by their side
Trying to make us scream
The moon will be full this year
With Werewolf’s howling all night long
In cauldrons witches concoct a brew
As Skeletons dance to a haunting song
Goblins, Zombies, Mummies and Ghosts
Getting their fifteen minutes of fame
Trying to out do the other in frightening us
Every Halloween it’s their ghoulish game

WANTING TO KNOW

Goblins, what type of creature are they
Oh I really would like to know the answer
B east perhaps that only appear around
Halloween time
Like the headless horseman in a story of
long ago
In the long run it really doesn’t matter
what they are
Not that I’ll be out prowling about on
Halloween night with the ghoulish
creatures
Still I don’t want to encounter any if they
happen to trick-or-treat at my door
