HALLOWEEN....Day Sixteen

Short read today after longer ones past few days.

Today the daily Fall/Halloween word is CAULDRON(S).

This was an interesting word as the challenge was an acrostic.  I took the character from one of my Clarisse stories as the stew maker. I used the idea the character in the piece making stew for a party.  It was a fun piece to create.  I had a few minutes to see an image in my mind. Different scenarios went through my head; then had twenty minutes to come up with the acrostic. I was back and forth on the first line but decided I liked the beginning as explaining what was happening.
The stew doesn’t sound bad but I’d replace beef for rabbit.
Yesterday was the middle of the month or actually bus it today as there are thirty-one days?  I did my yearly candy corn tribute to my grandmother, aunt and uncle.  It did bring tears to my eyes as I thought about them all.
It’s Friday today so wear your red.
Until tomorrow....have a great day and as always Stay Safe.

 October 16th.....DAILY REFLECTIONS

So it’s the 16th of the month....with this being a 31 day month I guess October is half over....Halloween will be here before we know it

It’s National Department Store Day as a wacky/weird holiday for today....will you BOSCOV today?....or Penny’s?

It’s FRIDAY so wear that red....Support our Troops....Remember Everyone Deployed

My yearly candy corn tribute done yesterday....what to do with left over bag now....perhaps make it up into snack mix for the club

Counterclockwise she stirs the cast iron
          pot

As her black cat and raven sit close by
         watching

Under a starry full moon sky she steadily
       works

Laughing loudly she puts in yet another
         component

Darcella creates her special witches stew
     for the Ghouls Gala

Rabbit, potatoes, carrots, onion and
     parsnips just a few ingredients

Over a wood fire of oak sits the antiquated
       cauldron

Needing a bit more spice Tabasco
     sauce and horseradish added

Scents of the stew filters through the
air on the night of Halloween
