It was a tough decision when I was given today’s word/words; HALLOWEEN MUSIC. Actually I do know a few songs that would qualify from my years of attending karaoke. I pulled them out of my brain as I began my twenty minutes of typing.
I decided on doing another glimpse into the continuing story of Madison. This time I decided she and her friends would be at a karaoke the same night as the flamingos found in the yard. Austin is acting miffed but it’s an act. The deejay announces singers will get a surprise if they do a Halloween song. Yes of course they decide to sing. I was actually able to use titles of songs that could be Halloween themed. This was different and now I know that tomorrow I must play a few of these at the clubs jukebox. I thought the title funny as most would think it’s about Christmas music. Think about what songs you’d consider for Halloween. Actually the song Austin sings is one a gentleman I knew did years ago at karaoke. He sang a lot of Frank Sinatra songs.
It’s Thursday so have a nice day.
Until next time....as always Stay Safe.

The deejay announced that if anyone sings a Halloween song he’d have a special surprise for them. Each performer would get a twelve ounce beer mug with with the words HAPPY HALLOWEEN imprinted on one side and a witch, ghost, bats or monster pumpkin face on the other.
Austin did not think there were many songs to sing for Halloween besides “Monster Mash”; and “Thriller” which he was sure he never heard anyone try to perform.
Karaoke night was in full swing at the Legion. Austin usually sang songs by Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin or few country singers. Those singers were in his comfort zone.
Sean meanwhile hurried to put up a song for the challenge. He decided upon the song “Purple People Eater”.
Sarah and Madison were undecided on whether they’d sing what could be a Halloween song. Madison thought about different song titles that were running through her head. She looked at the list the deejay had in his book for Halloween and decided she’d put in a request to sing. It’d be the perfect song because of what she was wearing. She asked Sarah to sing with her, but Sarah had already had an idea and would sing it a cappella.
Friday evening karaoke was always a fun night out. Next week they would be having a karaoke costume night event at the Legion.
Austin was still a bit miffed or he at least acted from the flamingo prank he found that morning. He just knew he had to get back at Madison. He thought about the song he’d sing and dedicate it to her. He saw the perfect song. She is wearing the hat after all, he thought. Chuckling, he wrote the song request on the slip of paper and took it up to the deejay.
Madison wondered which sing he picked as usually Austin did not do songs he never practiced prior to attending karaoke.
As singers took center stage for their three minutes of bring a star, Madison kept wondering about Austin. That chuckle as he wrote the song request gave her a bad feeling.
Sean did a good job on the song he picked. Sarah was next and had everyone in stitches as she did the theme song from the old television show ‘The Addams Family ‘.
The funniest part of her doing the song is that Sean’s last name was Adams. As she sang she the family name pointed to him.
Finally Austin got up to sing. The song he told the crowd was dedicated to his girlfriend, Madison. He choose the Frank Sinatra tune “Witchcraft”.
Madison sat there listening to the words watching Austin sing his heart out. After he finished he said to everyone, “I picked that song since her hat has the words WICKED WITCH on it”. He pointed to her as he spoke. Everyone laughed at the statement.
Then he went on to tell everyone about the prank she played on him with the yard of flamingos. Another round of laughs went through the room.
Madison was next called up to sing but changed her mind on the song she picked.
She told the deejay she’d do that particular song next week at the costume karaoke night. After all she decided it’d be more appropriate with her costume. Instead she sang a funny song called “Haunted House”.
She had a week to plan out how she would perform “I Put a Spell on You”.
Paybacks are fun, she thought; as long as
long kept in the vain of fun.
