I really wanted to continue on the glimpse in the life of Madison. I went with her revenge on the bubblegum eyeball gift from Austin on her marathon movie night. After wondering how to use today’s word
MISCHIEF NIGHT, I went with her getting even. I used something I once read awhile back. The flamingos were a good idea. I have an orange and a black flamingo, I place outside in the fall. They are cute and it’s the only time of year they make an appearance. The day after Halloween I bring them inside. I’ve seen flamingos decorated for other holidays and thought about getting one or two.
I hope you’ve been enjoying my daily tribute to Halloween. I’ve enjoyed doing the tribute so far.
Today is Tuesday and thirty years ago today I married my best buddy. If anyone told us that I would have been doing a blog or have books of poems published (self-published) with him as contributing author we would have said no way. But it has happened.
I hope you all have great day. Eleven more days till Halloween.
Until tomorrow....as always Stay Safe.

When she was younger, Madison and her friends would go out on mischief night for fun. Many times their pranks were done at the home of Madison’s grandparents. Her grandmother loved Halloween so the prank was not a big problem. They usually just throw plastic skeleton bones around the front yard and erect a scarecrow mooning people towards the street. It was all in fun; just for them to say they pranked someone. Her grandfather would take a photo the next day before picking up the skeleton parts; but he’d leave the scarecrow. After their snowbird trips to Florida around the first of October did this stop; also Madison and her friends matured.
As she sat at her desk the day after her movie marathon she knew exactly how she’d get even with Austin for pranking her with the jar of creepy eyeball bubblegum.
Going online, she placed the order with the promise that the order would arrive in two days. She knew it may be a costly pay back, but what she purchased could be used down the line. She chuckled as she thought about what she planned to do.
Of course mischief night was the night before Halloween but Madison planned to make her personal mischief the twenty-ninth instead of October thirtieth. She found out Austin had a business trip to Philadelphia on the twenty-eight. He would be spending two nights in the City of Brotherly Love, returning home on Friday the thirtieth. It would work out perfect.
A few days later her order arrived. Now to find one of her friends to help her. Sarah would be the perfect person; she loved pranking and getting revenge.
The night of pay back arrived. Madison was fortunate to have a key to Austin’s residence. At least his neighbors would not be suspicious of seeing her vehicle in the driveway. As they did their deed, both she and Sarah chuckled with amusement. It was a perfect plan.
Madison had planned to have a photograph taken early Friday morning for the newspaper; she planned to label the picture pre-mischief night prank. It would run in the paper that following week along with other Halloween photos.
Late Friday morning on October thirtieth, Austin arrived home from his business trip. Pulling into the driveway of his house he saw the front yard. He laughed hysterically at seeing the display before his eyes.
Twenty pink plastic flamingos were scattered around his lawn with ten black and ten orange in between.
He laughed at the sight as he realized that revenge was sweet; but now he needed to up the game.
