I’m still thinking about my blog from yesterday and my daily reflections as we go into day fifty-six for me of quarantined. I thought about family and friends in Pennsylvania who will be quarantined till June. I’m glad we have phases for opening in Florida. My reflection for today says it all. Today I wrote limericks. It’s National Limerick Day. They were fun to do. Terry does a daily haiku (since National Haiku Day) in April. Some of them do cheer me but a few make me blue as the limerick states. June is such a nice person so I thought I’d do something comical about her. As for Fran’s special piece, she loved karaoke and misses going out. She’s really getting stir crazy about being quarantined. Ree has a birthday today and thought I’d honor her with a limerick. She is a dedicated worker for the American Legion in her town. Not only town but the state. She can be counted upon for anything needed. Like most volunteers (myself) included she does not ask for anything in return; but I decided to add buy her a beer on occasion. The one I added about Claire is also from life. She’s a great lady who makes jewelry for friends and acquaintances. She’ll meet them in a bar where she does sip Mist. I wanted to honor her cause she’s done a lot for me. As for the limerick about me, it’s really truthful. I never expected to do what I have done after joining the Forty and Eight (40&8).
Hope you enjoy your day.
Until next time....stay safe.
Day 12.... DAILY REFLECTIONS
Awake I am ready for the day....it’s day
fifty-six of the quarantine for me
It could be worse....I could be living in
Pennsylvania....lock down till June I
hear
As long as The Blue Lagoon has take out
I’m ok....but I miss playing TAP TV
LIMERICKS

Five Nice Ladies; One limerick for me

Who loved to write a daily Haiku
Her words for me meant a lot
Smiles from them sometimes l got
But other times they gave me the blues
A woman from Bartow loved karaoke
Wednesday nights she’d go out to sing
But she’s stuck home in lock down
Her face now wears a big frown
How she hates being home quarantined
There once was a lady named June
A good singer who was always in tune
One day she stumbled and tripped
And her pants seam it ripped
June ended up showing the moon
There once was a veteran named Scottie
She joined the Forty and Eight
No one thought she’d go far
But three years Locale Chef de Gare
Never expected that be her fate
There once was a lady from Wyalusing
Working hard for the American Legion
Doing her best in all that’s asked, without
rhyme or reason
No job is difficult to complete for Ree our
volunteer
Only thing she asks in return, is to
sometimes buy her a beer
There once was a lady named Claire
Who made jewelry for ears, neck and wrist
Prices and designs were the best by far
She would sell to those in the bar
Where she sat drinking Canadian Mist
