MAY DAYS of FUN....Day Nineteen

This is going to be a short blog.
It rained yesterday during the morning changing  my plans.  That was fine. I thought about stormy weather and pieces I wrote awhile back adding this one to the collection of rain poems.
My thought when I woke up centered around the rain and thoughts I have regarding it. I looked at the weather app it showed rain for today again.  Hopefully it will clear the pollen from the air and cleanse the air.  One thing I hate is waking up at 4:00am with odd thoughts in my head.  I then type up the thought and fall back to sleep.  Perhaps I should reflect on the thoughts I have after I am up and about.
Until next time....happy Tuesday.

       Day 19....DAILY REFLECTIONS

I thought about the rain from
      yesterday....wondering if it cleansed the
air....did it help with pollen triggering
            allergies?
I am sure to find out after going outside
     later today....I notice weather app
            showing rain again today....is it
               accurate?
Things I think about at four in the
        morning....odd for sure

Rain and hail hit upon the tin roof of the
            cabin
As it did...it made a beat like that of a
drummer in sync with the music
Inside we stayed that afternoon seated
              together on the old couch
Not a care in the world we had that day
as we hid from the world

Sipping wine from the old jelly jars we
           found in a cupboard
Talking about everything and nothing at
             all in the candlelit room
Occasionally we’d see a streak of
lightning flash as we gazed out the
                  window
Rumbling off in the distance we heard
the roaring sounds of the thunder
My memories of our stolen moments
                   together always triggered by
                      stormy weather
