Right now I’m so done with it; this stay at home thing. As I’ve said I miss my veterans clubs and those I see. I miss playing TAP TV at one of my favorite locally owned businesses. I miss going to a thrift store to browse and support the church that runs it. I miss sitting in a locally owned restaurant and I above all miss church.
I thought about the saying about being as welcome as an outhouse breeze when I awoke again at 4:30am. The Corona Virus is that definitely. I’m looking forward to when I can again hug, hug, hug everyone. Until then I can send people virtual hugs via social media. The poem about the line in a book is true. Reading awhile back I remembered the line and made a notation of it. Thought later on down the way I’d use it in a writing. I thought about it this morning when I woke up. Hurried to get out my thoughts and actually the changed line as to how my husband thought it should be. What an insult being compared to a smell of an outhouse in mid-July; imagine it if you will. I personally know a few people who I can add to that category. Which means, yes, another verse for my memories.
The second piece is definitely going in my collection of memories. I will NOT be attending any Memorial Day events due to the no large gathering of people. I wrote my poem that I would have read at services already. You can read it Monday in the blog. I will though go outside and place my flag in front; say a prayer; read the poem I composed for this year and have moment of silence. Hopefully my neighbor’s will be out to join me (6 feet apart). This morning I thank the Lord for giving me a new day.
Until next time....have a very blessed Sunday. Oh it’s International Tiara Day....if you have a tiara wear it proudly as I plan to do so. Plus I’m putting a selfie of me wearing it on Facebook.
Corona Virus is about as welcome as an
outhouse breeze in the middle of
July....so true
It’s getting to everyone....stay at home....six
feet apart....wear your mask
I can’t wait to hug my pals again....share a
beverage....go play Tap TV....till then I
wait
SAYING IT BEST

breeze’
A line I read one time in a book
Yet when I try to use the saying
I get some really strange looks
The poor individual who is the SHE
Not very well liked by her group
They called her a total witchy witch
As many a friend she did dupe
Such a nasty insult about a friend
I had to read further to find out why
The shoe did fit and she wore it well
I found out the truth, my oh my
I’ll change the saying and some words
To use when the need comes up....as I
Feel some people truly indeed are
‘about as welcome as an outhouse breeze
in the middle of July’
REMEMBER HOWEVER YOU CAN

The Memorial Day weekend has begun
This year how different it will be
Many veterans groups will forgo services
Due to the ‘stay at home order/quarantine
Large gatherings at this time are not
yet allowed
We all must be at least six feet apart
And don’t forget the mask to cover the face
Best that we all stay put where we are
Memorial Day....a prayer I will say
Read from my book, a patriotic poem
Give a few moments of silence to those
who died
All this I’ll do safely from home
I will miss everyone at the veterans
clubs
Who all attend to pay their respects
At services where we get together
To pay tribute with our sincere regrets
It doesn’t matter this year how you
remember
Those heroes who served, who fought and
died
Just do something to honor them on
Memorial Day
As they served our nation with pride
