MAY DAYS of FUN....Day Twenty-One

I do wonder why I’m awake at the hours between four and five in the morning.  It’s not like I need to be someplace.  Usually after heading to the bathroom and back I’ll work on the daily reflections then my daily Good Morning postings to have them all ready to post once I am up and about with coffee.
Today’s poems are memories again.  Yesterday I purchased a book of haikus a friend self-published.  It was an ebook version. I’ve read a few so far. I can’t write a haiku at all. I’ve tried and tried. The other piece is whimsical about taking out my trash bin yesterday. I put one of my tiaras on and strolled out proudly to put the receptacle at curb.  Of course up the street someone did see me as well as a car passing by.  It was when I retrieved the bin I was really noticed.  Few cars driving past saw me and honked.  My neighbors next door saw me too.  The guy who lives behind us saw me just shook his head. I said we need a laugh or two during this quarantine time.  It’s not that it’s funny situation at the moment but we do need to keep our sense of humor.  If you are still under a stay at home phase, find something funny to do today.  Only a suggestion that might make you feel a bit better.
Until next time....keep safe

Day 21....DAILY REFLECTIONS

Why do I wake up between four and five in
the morning?....not as if I have
        something important to do
I guess I need to get my daily postings
       done....Good Morning....wacky/weird
            holidays....Daily Reflections
Of course there is doing the blog....need to read emails....read obits....my morning
            routine....coffee of course

Looking for a new read isn’t easy
I never know what to choose
So today I purchased an ebook
Containing just all haikus
I can’t not wait to read it
With haikus the subject does vary
Only reason I bought this book
The author is my friend, Terry

Wearing one of my tiaras
Walking regally to the curb
Rolling out my trash bin
The things I overheard

“What the heck is she wearing?”
“Is that a crown upon her head?”
I looked at those who were speaking
And to them here’s what I said

“Yes this is my tiara
I’m the Trash Bin Queen today
I needed a bit of humor
And a reason to feel happy and gay”

“I wanted to do something off the wall
So I thought I’d make a scene
And give you all a chuckle or two
While we are all stuck home in quarantine”
