It’s 3:30am.
I’m awake thinking of all I need to do today. First I need breakfast then at 10:00am pick up the cupcakes for the Amvets luncheon. Next I need to deliver said cupcakes. I’ll be reading my poem at the services; then take photos of the services. Busy yes busy.
On Memorial Day I need a few moments of silence to pay honor and tribute to all who died while still in uniform; I then say a silent prayer to family members, friends and acquaintances who served in the military and have passed away. I drink a toast to the first group then have a second toast for the next group.
The first piece seemed appropriate and it just flowed quickly. As for the UK word challenge piece it says it all. As a kid I love popsicles and I still do. Really doesn’t matter the flavor but let’s say cherry, lime, grape, root beer, then orange and yes the banana flavored.
I still buy them once in a while. But these days I enjoy the Italian ice.
It’s time for me to get a few more hours sleep.
Please take a moment of silence for those who perished on the field of battle. If possible attend a parade, Memorial Day service or flag raising.
It’s the last day of May today.
Until tomorrow and next month....a new week begins today; and as always Stay Safe.

END of WEEKEND
Sunday usually means another
weekend ends....not this week
Tomorrow is a holiday....it’s Memorial
Day
The day we pay our
respects....honoring those
who made the ultimate sacrifice
Upon foreign soil they perished....giving
their all for freedom
A grateful nation pays honor....with
moments of silence....a twenty-one
gun volley....and the haunting sound of
TAPS
To those who never made it out of
uniform

SUMMER TREAT
On a hot summer day an ice lolly
hits the spot
My favorite popsicle flavor cherry
followed by lime
Although I’d never pass up grape or
orange
Let’s just say I enjoy ice pops

WACKY HOLIDAYS MAY 30th
(National Mint Julep Day; National
Creativity Day; Indianapolis 500 Day
and Traditional Memorial or
Decoration Day)
Being creative this morning I’ll
compose a Memorial Day poem
Then place flags in my front yard for
Decoration Day and a patriotic
wreath on my door
This afternoon watch the Indy 500
while sipping a few mint juleps
