This will be short today.
Whew can’t believe I’m up at 6:00am for a change. I enjoy sleeping later.
Yesterday was a busy day for me. Glad it’s over.
I had different hats I was planning to wear yesterday and took them all with me to change as needed. Funny I needed to have one outfit that would go with the hats, so I decided on all black. That triggered the piece I wrote.
This month our daily challenge words are words the UK used that have different meanings in the US then there. Yesterday the word was FLAT;
it means apartment in the UK. I had fun writing the piece on how we use the word flat in the USA.
The wacky holidays gave me a bit of a challenge.
I visited my husband yesterday. They now are requiring visitors to wear not only a face mask but a plastic shield over their face. It was very hot wearing it. I could not wait to get it off. I feel sorry for the health care workers who have to wear them for their shift.
It’s Sunday and I said last week, Monday Eve.
Until next time... have a good day and as always Stay Safe.

HATS
Which do I wear on my head today
I have different events and activities
to attend
All require a different hat
Put all into my car
will switch as needed
Too bad can’t do the same with clothes
Guess I’ll wear an all black outfit
Black goes with everything even a
wedding
at least my opinion

LANGUAGE 101
Flat can be many things
that one may never considered
A tire with no air
Soda without bubbles
Land with no slopes
A women’s shoe with no heel
Music note below the right pitch
Surfaces with even level plane
A shallow box which seedlings are
started
Freight car with no roof or sides
But in England one lives in a flat
As in the USA we live in apartments
How strange the English language
could be
