It’s 5:00am.
Monday was another weird day. After my visit with my husband I did cry for ten minutes. Later in the afternoon I had my 40&8 promenade (meeting). I was installed as the new Chef de Train (same as a vice commander) for the 2021-2022 year. Funny I went from being the correspondent (adjutant) when I first got into the organization and did that job two years. Then I became for three years Chef de Gare (commander). I took two years just being only the nurses training Directeur for the locale. Now I’m an officer again.
As if I needed more to do but I’m a committed person so here I am.
At the 40&8 meeting I stood tall and spoke my mind concerning my husband. We have members who have not once asked how my husband is doing. I said I want to thank all those who have been concerned about him as well as asked if I’m ok. My comment was for one certain person who seemed clueless it was geared to them.
See what I have not said in previous blogs I write down on my notes app who asked about my husband from visit to visit. I then let him know who asked about him. It gives us both an understanding who is a concerned person and who is not. If I’m being petty well you see we both have always asked people how they’re doing when we’ve found them under the weather or their significant other.
My first piece is from what I did yesterday. When I stood to speak I looked around at everyone. Looking straight at a few I did not falter in my speech.
ROUNDERS was the UK word daily word yesterday. It was a challenge as I had NO CLUE what it was. I of course did research. Interesting for sure. Sounded boring to me. As I do enjoy a good baseball game.
Until tomorrow....it’s Tuesday and the next few days again will be crazy for me. Have a great day and as always Stay Safe.

Only one ball pitched....batter runs
whether ball hit or not
Sounds boring....I’d miss yelling at the
umpire
The excitement of a home run....
stealing bases....catching a ball that
that comes toward the stands
Of course miss hearing the shouts of
vendors selling cold beer....peanuts....
hot dogs and popcorn
Rounders can never replace baseball
in my book
