MARVELOUS MAY....Day 16

 

It’s Sunday!  This will be short and sweet. Yesterday I spent the day at the hospital with my husband.  He had few tests done.  He did not sleep well the night prior so he finally was falling asleep about three in the afternoon.  I left shortly after having been there about six hours.  This takes a toll on me too.  Not being able to do anything for him but sit in the chair.  At least he knows I’m there though.  

Today I plan to go over around noon till 

around six or seven. Will depend on how he feels.  I’ve always thought patients don’t need someone there all hours visiting when they need rest. But this is just my opinion. 

I did not sleep well for two nights either. Of course once the birds start in the morning no way can one sleep.  That’s my daily thought. I’m between writing daily pieces, thoughts and observations these days.  

Yesterday the word of the day was FAG. Not sure why the call cigarettes FAGS in the UK.  Definitely it’s an odd word. 

Until tomorrow....I need to get a move on today; so as always Stay Safe.

Why do the birds have to be so cheerful in the morning 

They wake me up with tweets

 I did not sleep well last night

Their chirps outside my window 

  won’t let me try to fall back into 

  slumber for an hour

Stopped for petro

Picked up a pack of fags too

Not for me but a mate

I quit smoking  years ago

First time I felt like a rebel 

And yes it make me sick 

Glad I learned filter cigarettes were 

          better 

Sneaking smokes at thirteen so cool

Armed Forces day is when we honor those currently serving in the military 

Today we pay tribute and remember those in law enforcement who lost their lives in the line of duty

One day with two different occasion of honor and tribute 

Both serving with pride and honor

to protect others

Sliders sound like a good meal

  on this Saturday 

Not sure if I want burger, chicken salad, cheese steak or meatball slider

All would hit the spot especially with

  onion rings

Chocolate chip cookies dunked in milk for dessert
