MARVELOUS MAY....Day 9

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the mothers.  Hope you have a wonderful day.
I decided to write two acrostics yesterday for the day.  The job of a mother is never done.  She is everything: a nurse, cook/chef, chauffeur, maid, laundress, tailor, bookkeeper and much more. If there are more than one child she is a referee also. I’ve always felt one day a year she should be treated like a Queen. Be waited on hand and foot by everyone.
Yesterday the daily word was BISCUITS.  I’ve read quite a few books taken place in the United Kingdom and knew biscuits were cookies.  Of course I’m a bit uncertain if I’d like a digestive biscuit.  The wording reminds me of something to do with using anti acids.
Visited yesterday with my husband. Nice visit as always. I get depressed when I leave. I actually sit in the car and cry.
Until tomorrow....hope everyone has a great Sunday and as always Stay Safe.

                    MOTHER
Many a hat does she wear for all the
   jobs she performs
Only one day a year she is honored,
and given the thanks she deserves
The woman who gave you life; who
    cares twenty-four seven,
         three sixty-five
However old you maybe, you will
always be that little girl or boy to her
Everyone knows her love is
     unconditional; never stops worrying
         about you
Remember today she is queen and a
    tiara her only headpiece

                       MOM
Mothers have many jobs to perform
Often doing more than one at a time
Moms are indestructible or so we think

🍪 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
                  STRESS RELIEF
After a stressful afternoon
a cuppa tea sounds great
  with a few biscuits
     shortbread or chocolate fingers
The type doesn’t matter
Although if given my druthers
I’d take a tall glass of milk
and a few chocolate chips to dunk

              OBSERVATION
I’d never make it in the United Kingdom
Asking for biscuits and gravy
I’d end up with thick meat sauce over
  pink wafers or jammie dodgers
Doesn’t sound tasty nor look appetizing

       WACKY HOLIDAYS MAY 8th
(VE DAY; NO SOCKS DAY; NATIONAL
  TRAIN DAY and NATIONAL
   MINIATURE GOLF DAY)

           DAILY REFLECTION
Hurray for VE Day
a big THANK YOU to our
World War II veterans for their service
in making VE Day possible

            NOT TODAY
No socks today
  wearing flip flops
This would be a nice day to take the
   AMTRACK to Miami
but too much to do
Can’t even think about a round of
     mini golf
Maybe next week I won’t be busy
