Today is D-DAY. Seventy-six years ago this occurred. Today we need to take a moment to remember those who landed on the beaches and shores of France; those who died and those who survived for a cause.
World War II veterans are a rarity today. In my family one remains. Over the past few months, two have passed away.
Yesterday was the first day of the reopening of bars, pubs and clubs in Florida. I’ve written a piece about this. I guess it’ll be part of my memories collection dealing with the pandemic.
Yesterday I had few errands to run. People are beginning to get lax about wearing masks. It was like more without then with.
But my opinion is to keep being safe.
Until next time....today besides D-DAY is NATIONAL BUBBLY DAY....cheers.

June 6.... DAILY REFLECTIONS
D-DAY today....I think about all those who
landed on the shores of France....who
lost their lives to fight for freedom
76 years ago this took place....WWII
veterans few and far in between remain
One remains in my family....I
know of two of recently passed
on....moment of silent prayer for all who
served and died that day

(June 6, 2020....For Phase II of reopening Florida)
Bars and clubs have finally opened
let’s all give a cheer
A lot of people hurrying out
for cocktails and for beer
Only fifty percent of occupancy
can be inside the place
Don’t forget to wear your masks
to cover up your face
How great it’ll be to see the folks
we haven’t seen in weeks
But remember social distancing
no hugs or kisses on their cheeks
I think I’ll wait to venture out
at least for a week or so
I’ll stay at home and drink my wine
and save a ton of dough
